- CONDUCT
VORPAL members are expected to maintain a polite and helpful attitude to all players on the server. We realize there will be clashes of personalities; that is common. But, if there is a pattern of issues with a lot of players on the server, a warning will be issued. Your reputation is reflected on the guild. In guild runs, please keep bad language to a minimum and jokes and stories within reasonable limits for those who might be younger.
Talking people out of loot, taking advantage of new or younger players is considered to be improper conduct and will receive only one warning. Talking about guild members in guild chat in a manner that is meant to hurt or gossip will receive two warnings only. If you have a problem with a guild member, use private "tells" instead or talk with an officer about it. We will be happy to group with you when you discuss it with your guild member and then you will have the advantage of a witness to your issues.
- DISCIPLINARY ACTION
If there is a need, a guild member will receive a warning, which will involve two officers talking to the member and discussing the issue. In most cases, after three warnings of any types except as noted in the rules, the member will be removed from the guild without chance to return. Please report any 'member to member' problems in private to the officers. Members will not be booted on hear-say and must be given appropriate measures before being removed by any officer.
- GUILD BANK AND LOOT
We would like the members to be free with each other, but its always your choice. "Your loot is your loot." If you have extra that might help the other guild members out and you wish to share, then we encourage it. If you give items to members, please remember that guild members are free to leave as they wish, without excuse. Do not expect to get items donated back at anytime, once an item is traded, sold, or given there are to be no "strings attached." This applies to the guild bank. If you are found selling guild bank or donated items for gain it will be grounds for possible immediate dismissal. Bank items will be handed out on a first come first serve basis.
- EVENTS & SIGNUPS
Events will be posted for everyone's fun and convenience. We will try to make these events happen as best as possible, please be aware that people do have real lives and that this can interfere quiet often at the worst times. Family and real life comes first in this guild. There is no need for sign-ups as events will be on a first come-first served basis. We will try to wait for everyone and will make up more than one group where possible depending on the turn out. This in our experience on DDO saves a lot of grief from members who don't show up for their slots.
- ADVANCEMENT & OFFICERS
VORPAL will have a limited number of officers, but as the guild grows, we will of course have a need to add officers. Officers will be chosen by exhibiting these attributes: 1) Polite/Nice 2) Helpful to others 3) Demonstrates a good understanding of the game, character builds, and quests 3) Time in the guild. 4) Shows a nature to put others needs before their own, helps the lost, teaches, etc. 5) Platinum given to leaders...just kidding.
- RECRUITING
VORPAL doesn't want this process to be a pain and we want you to have the choice of bringing in friends that you enjoy playing with. So, the only rule is that they have to read the rules and agree to them before application. IF---a person is added to the guild without running with an officer first, they will be put on a 14 day probation period. During this period the new recruit can be dismissed from the guild without going through the formal warning/dismissal processes. If you want to avoid the 14 day probation period, an officer must run with the potential recruit at least once. All members may leave the guild at anytime for any reason without fearing that VORPAL members will be upset at you. An ex-member may return at any time, pending approval from two officers. If a member leaves twice, re-installment of membership will be denied thereafter.
Concerning younger players: We do not care if you're 6 years old or 99 yrs old, but some younger players do not carry a mature attitude or playing ability; therefore it is VORPAL's policy to review players under 17yrs by having them run with 3 of the officers. We have young players in the guild, but they are very capable and mature players--we are just ensuring that we maintain that level of quality and apologize for the inconvenience. |
